If you are struggling to find the time to get in a good bit of exercise throughout your day – then try our Ten Minute Morning Boost!

This is a great way to kick-start your day, fire up calorie burning processes and help beat the “no time to workout” monster so many battle each day! While not intended to replace your regular training program – this quick tool can be added to each day to not only help your performance goals but also get your body and mind charged and focused for your day!

Our workout is simple – we intend you to be able to do this in your bedroom, still in your pyjamas! So open your eyes, turn off the alarm, and let’s go!

Part 1: Get Ready

No one opens their eyes after a night’s sleep ready to jump into physical activity. Take a moment to stretch, wake up, take deep controlled breaths, and work in some simple movement. Light stretching, yoga poses, etc – you get the idea. In the end, this is about waking up your body, not shocking your body. Now that you are awake and limber…

Part 2: Ten Minute Morning Boost!

Three exercise cycles of:

  1. Russian Twists, 10 reps, each side
  2. Body Squats, 20 reps
  3. Press Ups, 10 reps

The tempo for this is rest 30 seconds between each exercise and 60 seconds between each cycle.

The idea behind this is to kick start your day, hit most of your key muscle groups, but not take away time from your morning. You can actually use this routine in the evening too – just be mindful of the time, as not to do this too close to bedtime that you disrupt your ability to go to bed for proper rest and recovery.

This was meant to be an easy way to get in some exercise each day. Play with the concept, and make your morning exercise part of your performance goals.
